Central Marin Fire Department has partnered with the City of Larkspur, Marin County Open Space District, and the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority to reduce hazardous wildfire fuels near the Citron Fire Road and Citron Bowl area in the King Mountain Open Space Preserve (see map attached below). The project is designed to remove hazardous invasive vegetation fuel and to restore native plant communities and improve natural habitat. Funding for the project is provided by local Measure C dollars from the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority.
